Where We Work
Association of Eurasian Patrons and Artists
Understanding Eurasia
The Association of Eurasian Patrons and Artists (AEPA) operates across Eurasia, a vast region that combines the continents of Europe and Asia into a single, interconnected landmass. Eurasia is not only a geographical concept, but also a cultural and historical space where civilizations have met, exchanged ideas and shaped one another for centuries.
When we speak of Eurasia, we refer to a diverse area that includes:
- Europe – from Western and Southern Europe to Eastern Europe and the Balkans.
- Central Asia – Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan and Tajikistan.
- The Caucasus – Armenia, Georgia, Azerbaijan and neighboring regions.
- Russia and Turkey – countries that bridge Europe and Asia.
- East and South Asia – with cultural ties extending to China, Mongolia, India and beyond.
By embracing this wide definition, we highlight the rich cultural networks that exist across borders and the opportunities for dialogue between traditions, religions and artistic languages.
Why Eurasia Matters
Eurasia is often described as the “crossroads of civilizations”. From the Silk Road to contemporary globalization, this region has always been a meeting point for trade, culture and creativity. For us, it represents:
- A place where diverse traditions coexist and inspire one another.
- A space to explore the dialogue between heritage and modernity.
- A living laboratory for art as a tool of peace and diplomacy.
Building Bridges Across Borders
Through our initiatives, the Association of Eurasian Patrons and Artists promotes:
- Mobility for artists and curators, enabling them to work in different cultural contexts.
- Partnerships with institutions that share our commitment to intercultural dialogue.
- Opportunities for members and patrons to actively support creativity across Europe and Asia.
